Bütic is a manufacturer in the heart of Thuringia – we cut, engrave and finish ourselves, from single pieces to full series, for private customers as well as model makers, retailers and businesses.

Our Story
How sourced goods grew into our own production.
Bütic GmbH was founded in 2015, at first only with sourced goods and one vision: to develop our own product ideas using laser technology and bring them to life. The first machine – shown in the photo on the right – was purchased, and that used up almost all of the starting capital. This first laser earned the foundation for the second machine with a large order from a well-known car manufacturer. Out of that experience came a constant stream of new product ideas, which we've kept developing ever since. Today we develop and make over 3,400 products ourselves – plus a separate stock of sourced goods. There's no end in sight.

Behind every piece that reaches you from Pößneck are our own hands, our time and a bit of heart. From first contact to finished product, we take personal care that everything fits in the end. Eight colleagues, one small, well-rehearsed team – feel free to get to know us a little.
Christian
Management / Technology & IT
Whether it's a computer in the office, a laser in production, or an order that's stuck in the shop – when something isn't working, Christian gets called. And he usually figures out the cause very quickly.
It's his mission to keep pushing our shop and the processes behind it to the next level. He also answers enquiries about custom-made items and picks up the phone whenever Wayne isn't around.
On the side, he also looks after keywords and ads, so people can find us easily on Google.
Michael
Management / Purchasing
Michael trained as a retail merchant, and that's exactly what he lives out here. He handles purchasing – from raw materials for production to stocked goods – and calculates the prices to go with it. That's why price enquiries from customers usually land on his desk.
With his purchasing decisions and a feel for what's in demand, he keeps the warehouse well stocked. To keep it organised, he pitches in himself: restocking shelves, putting goods away and logging incoming stock.
Whenever a gap appears on a shelf, it usually doesn't take Michael long to fill it again.
Wayne
Customer Service
This year Wayne completed his training as an e-commerce merchant. He's looked after our customer service from the very start – and, to all our delight, he'll keep doing so.
Together with Christian, he's also working on continuously improving the shop and back office. He readily takes on other tasks too. Ask him if he can help out for a moment, and he pretty much never says no – whatever it's about.
Judith
Graphic editing & customer service
For custom-made orders, Judith is your contact: she answers your enquiries and finds the right solution with you – whether it's names, logos or your own motifs, and in the end she creates the artwork herself.
On the side, she also writes our product texts and keeps the blog running. Our social media presence is coming soon too – she's already working on it.
Sandra
Warehouse & Shipping
Sandra has been with us from the very beginning. As soon as an order comes in, she gets moving: gathering the items, packing them, sticking on the shipping label – and off it goes. Together with Wayne, she also handles returns and puts sent-back goods back into stock. When it comes to product upkeep, she also keeps attributes and texts in the shop up to date – she keeps things running smoothly.
Steffen
Workshop & Woodworking
Steffen has been with the company since it was founded. He's our go-to person for the heavy work – and for pretty much everything else too. Mainly he stains and paints our plywood in our 37 stain colours, and saws, planes and flames birch wood for that lovely rustic look. In short: without Steffen, a lot of things around here would look pretty plain and single-coloured.
Rica
Production
Rica has been with us almost from the start – she began in the warehouse, and for a few years now she's been in production. There she's our jack-of-all-trades: wherever help is needed, she's on it – from A to Z, no ifs or buts.
When Sandra is enjoying her well-earned holiday, Rica also helps out with shipping.
Anita
Production
Anita started out in shipping a few years ago but has since moved into production. She likes it best where things get tricky – the more intricate the task, the more she enjoys it.
Just like Rica, she also helps out with shipping when Sandra is enjoying her well-earned holiday.
