Laser Cutting
How your custom shape reaches us.
Have a shape in mind? Send us your design – we'll cut it to the millimetre. Here's what we need:
What we need
- Vector file of your shape – ideally as SVG (also DXF, PDF, EPS or AI)
- Dimensions in millimetres (width × height, material thickness)
- Material: plywood, Plexiglas®, HDF/MDF, cardboard or felt
- Quantity
- Optional: engraving – motif or text as a vector
How to send us your design
- Easiest by email to kontakt@buetic.de with the file attached
- or via the form on the contact page – it opens your email, then attach the file
- No vector file? Send us a sketch with dimensions – we'll create the design together.
Why a vector? A vector graphic (e.g. SVG) describes every line exactly – that lets the laser cut to the millimetre without any loss of quality.
How the SVG template works:
- Open the template in a vector program (e.g. Inkscape – free – or Illustrator, Affinity Designer).
- Replace the black example outline with your own shape, adjust dimensions in mm.
- Optional: draw your engraving motif or text in red.
- Save the file as SVG and send it to us by email or form.

What's the difference between shop products and a custom-made order?
We offer many standard shapes directly in our shop. If you need a custom piece made to your own design – e.g. a particular shape, size or engraving – we make it individually to your specifications.
I don't have a vector file (SVG) – is that still possible?
Yes. A sketch with dimensions is enough to start – we'll create the right template together with you.
Can I send in a material you don't carry?
Yes – send us a sample, we'll check whether it can be processed and then make it for you. For example acrylic in other thicknesses/colours, plywood from other types of wood, paper, cardboard, card, or other felt thicknesses.
Are individually configurable clipboards available too?
